A Little about Me

I live in Holland with my husband and 3 children. I enjoy listening to music, reading, swimming, cheering on my Indiana Hoosiers,  traveling, and being active in my school and community. A fun fact about me is that my first job was working at Holiday World as a costumed character!

What I Love Most about School Counseling

I love school counseling because there is never a dull moment! We help students with social, emotional, and academic support, as well as helping them plan for their future.  I want students to know they have endless opportunities and want them to think and dream big. High School can be challenging at times, but I hope through the work we do they feel supported and encouraged every step of the way.  High school will go by fast, and I am happy to be a part of every student's journey!

A Little about Me

Erin Rauscher is a Southridge High School graduate. She continued her education at Purdue University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Shortly after she began her teaching career while living in Washington D.C.  She spent nine years teaching middle school social studies, science, and language arts in the inner city. While teaching in D.C. she was the recipient of the Griffin Foundation Award: 2007 Visionary. Her education continued with a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and she is currently working toward another Masters in the Sciences of Educational Psychology from Purdue University Global. After nine years of teaching in the Washington D.C. area she returned home to Huntingburg.

She took a brief hiatus from education to create her own Yoga Business/Certified Yoga School. She created her own yoga school to train and teach others as that is something that will always be a passion. After seven years of business ownership she returned to the education profession.

Erin loves to be an active member in her community. She continues to teach yoga along with other fitness classes, enjoys running destination races, prides herself in being a lifelong learner, and is always on the search for an awe-inspiring novel. She and her husband Dan live on a sixth generation dairy farm. She has two very active sons whom she adores.

I was a teacher for six years where I worked for the Jobs for America's Graduate (JAG) program. This is my first year as a school counselor

A Little about Me

I am from Waveland, Indiana, a small town in central Indiana. It is close to Turkey Run State Park. The town has less than 500 people, so I mean small! I have one sister, who is 16 months younger than me and is living in Portland, Oregon and is a dog trainer! We grew up very close to two of our cousins and enjoyed activities such as video games, swimming and watching movies! I currently live in Huntingburg and enjoy being with y friends, tennis, Netflix and attending sporting events (my favorite being baseball)! I enjoy the fall time and love pumpkin treats.

Years of Experience

I have been a counselor since 2005.

A Little about Me

I was born in Florida and moved to Indiana when I was ten. I have lived in Santa Claus for 30 years. I have three daughters; my oldest is 26 and lives in Illinois; my twins are 20. One twin attends IU and the other attends UE. I enjoy being outside, watching crime shows, going to the theatre, and being with family/friends.

What I Love Most about School Counseling

I love building relationships with students and helping them navigate through their teen years. It is really rewarding to see students grow and mature through a really tough time in their lives.
